Trade it up: A common misconception.

I have a purpose for making the image above. Many people believe that the stock market is all numbers, charts, and deskwork, but the truth is that they're wrong. There is so much more to it than that. This image is to show that being involved in stocks involves thinking outside the box, and using our thoughts and ideas and turning them into plans in reality. Sure, you would never see this on an add for a fortune 500 company, but believe it or not this is what is encoded behind it, ideas, imagination, and theory.

http://www.thestreet.com/ Downgrades MIPS Technologies to "Hold".

Today, http://www.thestreet.com/ downgraded MIPS technologies to a "hold" rating. This means that MIPS in not expected to do any better, or any worse than other tech companies. For the few months that I have owned shares in this company it has been on the same curve as the market has been on. For example: market gains MIPS gains, market loses MIPS loses also. Therefore I have to say that I agree with this decision made by TheStreet. A HUGE think to pay attention to though is that MIPS has a debt-to-equity rate of zero. In simple words,  THEY OWE NO MONEY! Unlike other companies we know...

Apple inc.

I sincerely apologize about this post being so late. Recently, Steve Jobs the Chairman of the board and CEO of Apple inc. resigned from his position as CEO because of his known health problems. He still remains chairman of the board, but does not believe his health condition will allow him to make key decisions for the company. I am wondering if this decision will drive Apple downward financially, or if the company will still be the thriving fortune 500 company that it is. I mean, its still Apple, and everyone wants the beautiful technology that Apple creates. Leave me your thoughts, they matter.

Love for victims

I just wanted to share some love for all who are affected by hurricane Irene. Tough times are aren't easy to get through and you're definitely not alone. One positive that can be taken out of this is that in rough times we all unite and become a unit, and thats good to know. Its human nature for us to take care of each other when these things happen no matter what race, ethnicity, or beliefs we hold.

Renren Inc.(RENN)

This one really caught my eye. Renren is a social networking platform in China. It allows members to connect via internet and post messages, pictures, and comments just like facebook. I know, weird that I would bring facebook up in a post about a social networking company! Renren makes it's money off of advertising and internet value-added services. Currently a single share is priced at $7.18, and having slightly over 392 million shares puts the market cap at about 8.1 billion. Heres where it gets good though. The 52 week low is $6.18, and the high is $24.00. I know the 52 week window isnt everything when purchasing shares, but hey it sure helps. I also dont see this company going anywhere but up in the market because companies are always wanting to advertise, and people are always on the computer. Tell me what you think, thanks!

MIPS Technologies(MIPS)

A company I would like to share with everyone is MIPS Technologies. I purchased some of these stock shares at the beginning of August when they were at $7.48 as they seemed a good price. The 52 week range being at( $5.30-$8.20 ) I thought I was getting an okay price. A week later the DJIA dropped 512 points sending MIPS technologies to a downward plunge putting the company at below $4.00 a share. From this I learned exactly how unpredictable the market can be. It is now near the end of August and MIPS is on a slow uphill journey, currently at $5.15.
